A. What is this project about?
The project is to compile a complete living timeline of what is commonly called "Chicago Style" Stepping, or Steppin' from it's beginnings to the present.

A. What do you mean when you say "living timeline"?
A "living timeline" is what is considered an open ended timeline. This means the beginning and the end of the timeline is subject to change depending on submissions and verifications of information.

A. Who can submit information to the project?
Anyone who has any information relating to any event of any type concerning stepping.

A. What type of information can be submitted?
Historically Important Valuable Information includes but is not limited to Personal first hand knowledge of an event related to stepping. An event can include anything which has happened throughout the history of the dance, individuals, instruction, organizations, contests, video, audio, or Internet.

A. I don't have any information to submit, but I am willing to support the project. What can I do to help?
There are many ways to support the project. We need people who can act as researchers and fact checkers. Please use the Contact Us form to tell us how you would like to help. If you have a web site or a newsletter a link to the project would help. If you are an individual or if you represent a corporation or company which would like to provide a financial donation to support the project, please visit our Donate page.
